Portland Police Officer Scott McCollister was cleared in the civil case by a jury of his peers in the shooting death of Kendra James.

Here are a few tips in helping the LIBERAL not look like a retarded moron when discussing issues they know nothing about. I preempt this by bringing to your attention the fact that Liberals will throw in words like "I think" and "I assume". Know that when they say things like this, what they are really saying is "I have no clue, but that's okay."

skinny has this to say: "It would appear to be that no matter what the training involved with the PPB, they are just a bunch of cowards."

Notice the "it would appear" - Translation "I have no clue, but that's okay." (IHNCBTO)

Den Mark, Vancouver has this to say: "Was mccollister NOT on drugs? How about steroids? Was he NOT on steroids? If he was, we wouldn't know, because cops are exempt from testing."

It would appear that Den is stating a fact... Truth is Police Officers are required to be tested for drugs after a shooting... in fact it's within hours of a shooting. A family member of mine who is a Police Officer who was involved in a shooting, and yep he was tested for drugs. So the statement "cops are exempt from testing" is a hidden IHNCBTO!

Matilda has this to say: "From the moment they began circling the car like vultures, waiting for the black man driving to do something, anything, that they could pull it over for, this was a violation of civil rights. We do NOT acquit. And WE are a jury of peers."

Can you see the IHNCBTO? Talk about ignorance! I have a gun sitting here on the desk, and that gun can sit there forever and do no harm to anyone. Guns in and of themselves are not dangerous, stupid people with guns are. Maybe that's why liberals don't have guns... Now it all makes sense.

"In spite of an unsurprising acquittal by a mostly white jury today" Juries are chosen by both the defendant and plaintiff attorney's, so that's not even a factor!

"He shot and killed an unarmed, 90 lb woman to death, on the streets of Portland, after stopping her car because a black person was driving." One: Officer McCollister was being dragged by James' car. Second: He did not pull her over... He was responding to the traffic stop another officer made.

"If the wheels of "justice" can continue to allow the pigs of this city to gun down innocent civilians with impugnity" This is the part where a liberal uses a ten dollar word to make you think they are educated and therefore right... The fact that they do this is just doltishly obtuse.

"How long will it be before African American motorists begin carrying arms to defend themselves from the ravages of a racist and out-of-control police department?" This is just a stupid argument, it will lead to armed "African Americans" being shot by the police... That tells me what the liberals really want, more "African Americans" dead... I believe Charles Manson did too.

"Scott McCollister must be made to pay for what he has done. He should be followed home and watched for every minute of every day for the rest of his disgusting life." This, from the pacifist community... in fact the same people who tell Lars Larson that someone should "kill his child." Someone please look up the word HYPOCRISY!

"FUCK the police. FUCK McCollister. FUCK the pigs." This is a redundant statement, but I will end this with where the acronym P.I.G. is derived from. Pride, Integrity, Guts!

Riley Research Associates just released the THE RILEY REPORT (June 20, 2005) which revealed a strong dissatisfaction with governor Ted Kulongoski even with members of his own party. 50% of democrats would vote for Governor Kulongoski while 21% would not and 29% would vote for someone else. The numbers just get worse as they cross party lines.

Governor Kulongoski is continuing to shoot himself in the foot (and I couldn't be happier), with the proposed casino in the Gorge, to not caring if you are even a citizen to vote. If Governor Kulongoski continues this track record, he will lose the race and re-election. There are already a few potential folks who are beginning to emerge who thus far would make a great Governor. So by all means Governor Kulongoski please continue to stay out of touch with your constituents, and don't worry, this will all be over soon...

Many advocates claim that the use of marijuana is the only way they can deal with the pain, and who is the US government to tell them they can't have it.

They Need Help, Not Jail?

Senate Judiciary Chairwoman Ginny Burdick, a Democratic liberal from Portland, and House Judiciary Chairman Wayne Krieger, a Republican ex-state cop and tree farmer from the South Coast, led a bipartisan group that proposed investing in treatment-related programs aimed at cleaning up addicts so they won't be serial offenders.

"You're going to save $58,000 every time you don't have to put them through the system again," says Krieger. "And maybe there's an individual's quality of life that can be saved by this."

We live in a country of freedom, and with that comes individual responsibility. So why then do the liberal left think it's my responsibility to help a person who is destroying their own life, when their actions are a product of a conscience choice they make; to use illegal drugs. Let's not fool ourselves for one minute and pretend that "meth-heads" are only hurting themselves. I can't watch the news at night without seeing a story about theft, burglary, robbery or some crack-head lunging at the police with a knife. And you know what? The majority of these crimes are committed by people who are looking to score that next fix. I would rather spend the money to lock up these people so they can't hurt anyone else, then to see my tax dollars go to some program to help a person who made the choice to become a worthless drain on our society.

hypocrisy: Make no mistake about it, Tom Potter is not concerned with the safety of Oregonians or Portlanders. While the war on terror continues Mayor Potter has done nothing to keep Portland safer. In fact he's gone backwards, removing the Portland Police from the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). Defending a city he "loves", no! But have no fear, the soon to be abandoned Oregon National Guard base will make a great training center for the Portland Al-Qaeda Chapter.

Some Cops Stop More Minorities: Chicago Tribune June 14, 2004

A report released by the DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association, details the number of stops in 2004 by 33 departments, including the county Sheriff's Department and forest preserve authorities. It categorizes the stops by race, number of citations, warnings and searches, and reasons for stops.

According to the report, about 33 percent of the drivers stopped by Oakbrook Terrace police were non-white, while non-whites make up slightly more than 19 percent of the city's population. But Police Chief Mark Collins said the town of 2,300 (this figure as published has been corrected in this text) residents swells to about 75,000 a day during the workweek."

We're in a unique situation here. We have people commuting through our community, working in our community, that don't live in our community. And they're many of the people we stop," Collins said. "I think the state had to come up with a benchmark, and I understand why, but I think that's why we're seeing these numbers."

The department has not had a single complaint of racial bias since he has been police chief, he said.

Sadly this falls into the same category as people who say "I hate cops because one pulled me over for no reason and gave me a ticket". It's never the persons fault it's the police. Why because many people have a hard time dealing with the fact that they did something wrong, and rarely anymore do people take responsibility for the own actions. The only difference here is that minority motorist can claim it was because they were "not white". If a black police officer pulled me over, would I have any ground if I claimed it was because I was white?

The fact that this Chief has had zero complaints against his department shows that his officers are doing their jobs fairly. What this boils down to is the "can't we all just get along" mind-set of the liberals, the NAACP and people like Jesse Jackson is a farce, and the rhetoric Mr. Jackson tosses around almost daily is proof. If we all just got along, Jesse Jackson would be out of a Job.

"Free" Not So Free

In 2001 Ecoterrorist Jeff Luers (AKA: "Free") was sentenced to 23 years behind bars for setting fire to a Silverado half-ton pickup and damaging two others at the Romania Chevrolet dealership in Eugene and then attempted to blow up an oil field in a Eugene neighborhood. Luers stated he was targeting one of the main causes of global warming: gas-guzzling SUV's. Luers has since then gathered a lot of support from doctors, educators and lawyers most of whom feel that Luers' sentence was "too harsh" and that he did not get a fair trial.

It really comes down to two points. The first, "global warming", the fact is that throughout it's history the earth has either been going into or coming out of and Ice Age. Around 1100 A.D. those who discovered Greenland did not name it that because they wanted to confuse you in order to bring in more tourism... No, Greenland was green, and there were no human factors involved in turning it white. Second, ecoterrorist like Jeff Luers and members of the ELF (earth liberation front) are just that; terrorists. I see no problem with fighting for what you believe in, but the fact of the matter is, when your actions (setting fires to vehicles, blowing up log trucks, attempting to blow up oil fields in neighborhoods) constitute a gross disregard for the safety of other people, you've gone too far. People like Jeff Luers and members of the ELF are dangerous, and need to be dealt with. Luers' sentence is just fine if not too short.
